    Realistic Speech Synthesis

First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this request. Speech synthesis is a technique used to recreate realistic voices using hardware and/or software. This technique is used in many songs such as "Dope Boys" by Lupe Fiasco, Wale and Kardinal Offishal. If you listen closely, you'll hear a voice at the beginning that says "This is a Greg Street exclusive." Now I've heard that same voice say different things on different songs, and I'm almost 100% positive that it's not a human, because what are the odds that different record companies use the same person to record different sayings. The only problem I have with this technique is that I can't figure out how they were able to make the voices so realistic, and what software/hardware they used or how they did it. The most realistic voices I've ever heard came from AT&T's Text-to-Speech Labs. Could someone please tell me how this is done? Thanks so much for your help!

P.S. - I apologize in advance should this subject appear more than once, as I've posted this before, but it never showed up on this site.

    Careful with beginner tuts

Soem beginner tutorials do not add anything to the software manual or plain forums. Tutorials are expected to add value to the information existing in the manuals... Basic setup tutorial are already available in all software manual. Now unless there is a dedicated section for "tuts for those who are too lazy to RTFM"

    Refuse Tuts using presets

All tuning of synths should be explained, in order to be usable on any platform.
e.g. If I tell you take this analogue synth emulator and load preset 10, if you don't use that specific emulator thet tutorial is made useless.
If you explain use 2 oscillators in square waveform, detune the first one by 2% and the second one by -2%, filter the result by a -12dB filter, anyone can apply the tutorial to any software.

make tutorials for Video and Audio.

Ways to increase audio when recording with a mic connected to a camera, making audio better, blocking out background noise, you know, that stuff.

Making D&B samples the right way

if you go to places like liftedmusic.com or listen to mixes from dnbsets.de, and you listen to the pro music you know what samples I'm talking about.

Those sticky, grungy, one of a kind Drum and Bass percs. Using normal samples, hip hop samples, ect won't cut it.

It's not that hard to do it and you can do it in almost any studio. Question is, will audiotuts make a tutorial on how to make these sick samples?

Making realistic choir, or string pads in FL studio

SO many songs in a lot of genres use this magical instrument, thing is I don't want to raid the internet in search of the right sample, I want to learn how to make a cool choir/opera VST or audio sample, with something like Z3TA+, sytrus, or something.

It is awesome, you know you want it, so vote for it :D

search option, organizing tuts by DAW

In the music industry everyone has their own slice of audio heaven cake.
I bought Fruity Loops 8 XXL for example
then when I get to audio tuts, I have to look through abelton, absynth, logic pro, Reason, Cubase, and other DAW tutorials.

Now I'm pretty sure that everyone uses their fave software, it would be less of a hassle to find the right tut if we could organize them by the DAW which it involves. Not saying start of on a "Select your DAW" page, but maybe in the extra menu space.

you could add a spry:hover menu with the list of DAW's with the involved tuts.

Use PHP, Ajax, or ASP.NET, to update which category the DAW falls under, and it would only be one more step in submitting a tut in audiotuts.com

    ^^ just a thought

Music theory, What makes a song good

There are classes in high school, college, and other places where you can learn this valuable piece of knowledge.

things like learning when and where to use bridges, when to create a space of silence to increase tensity. Like in Hardstyle, or in D&B.

Using music theory to avoid making your music flow style to not sound like generic music.

Do's and Dont's of the music making. Like the ever so classic fade in begging and the fade out ending, with the one low bridge in the middle to help the song.

If you didn't understand that, it means that we really do need this tutorial here on audio tuts.
